David Burt

Executive Manager, David Burt is an experienced strategy and commercial advisor at the CSIRO who co-founded ON in 2012. David now proudly leads On team to deliver the only national Accelerator program designed for publicly funded science. David also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Planet Ark, an Australian not-for-profit organisation with a vision of a world where people live in balance with nature, and on the NSW/ACT State Advisory Council for the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA).

Alisa Becker

Alisa Becker is the ON Relationship Manager for Queensland and the Northern Territory. She joined CSIRO and ON back in January 2017, and has enjoyed seeing home grown talent emerge from her home state and beyond. One of the things she loves about ON, is that it provides a framework to make things happen. As a chemistry researcher herself, Alisa is passionate about seeing impact from science and has a strong interest in the Women in Stem movement.

Cameron Lutton

Cameron Lutton is an ON Relationship Manager based in Melbourne. Having joined the team in January 2017, Cameron is responsible for engaging and procuring new partnerships with organisations within Australia’s research ecosystem, such as universities and research institutes in Victoria, ACT and South Australia. Working for ON, Cam relishes the opportunity he has to engage with and encourage universities - and their developing research teams - to get 'ON' board, meeting new people and networking across the country. Cameron's history in innovation goes way back to his time at university, where he was part of a team that won QUT's inaugural innovation competition for the design of a novel orthopedic tool.

Emily Chang

Bundle of energy, Emily Chang, joins the pirate ship of ON, leaving her helm as Facilitator and coordinator of CSIRO's LaunchCamp program. Em supports our program managers, helping them do brilliant things to keep ON products enjoyable and valuable. A Broncos fan, Em uses her experience as a registered psychologist to help keep the people around her winning! Em is driving the newest ON product, designed for individuals so get in touch if you'd like to hear more about this exciting pilot program.

Kate Milton

Kate delivers Accelerate for the first time in 2018/19, bringing her ON communications experience into the role to get stuck in with the new teams. Kate's crafty, creative passions will have you stitched up – or embroidered – ready, in no time. With a background in journalism, Kate enjoyed diving into the world of innovation during her time living in London, running strategic innovation workshops for corporate teams. She's excited to get to see innovation at the source working with the ON research teams. In her free time, adventurous Kate likes to eat and travel – if she's doing both at the same time, even better! Kate is based in Brisbane.

Andrew Barley

Our ON Prime Manager, Andy has a background in physics, electronic engineering and a Master of Science Communication which included working with communities across Australia. Andy is well experienced to help deliver the ON Prime program with his hands-on entrepreneurship experience as founder of SciGround, a startup transforming public spaces into science playgrounds using augmented reality. When not putting his hands to use for innovation, Andy enjoys playing netball and the ukulele! He is passionate about social entrepreneurship, creating businesses that work to benefit people and the environment. Find Andy in our Canberra outpost.

Karen Li

Joining the program in April 2016, Karen Li is best known for her work as Prime Experience Manager. Stepping way from her 'baby', Karen is now in command of the ON program's Tribe community. Karen's new role sees her supporting and coordinating for the vast constellation of superstars in our alumni and support network. Like all of ON's Tribe, Karen is passionate about making a difference within the innovation community and contributing to the future of Australian science and technology. A self-confessed sweet tooth, Karen’s hobbies include playing piano and building her collection of succulents and cacti.

Joining the team in October 2016, Tennille Vanderstaay is ON's Program Manager and is responsible for the program schedule, its planning, data control, finances, reporting and internal logistics. Process-driven and a natural-born planner, Tennille plays an integral role in keeping the ON program running and the busy team on track. Tennille (or 'T' to her colleagues) loves working alongside the inspiring people at ON and contributing to an incredible program that's affecting real world change. Outside of work - and as a creative soul - Tennille enjoys creating her own ceramic pottery, amateur photography and is currently studying graphic design part-time.

Anna Molloy

Fresh off the boat from sunny LA, Anna brings back with her a wealth of knowledge on start-ups and a new penchant for green smoothies and bliss balls! In the US Anna worked for Australian export and start-up darling, Shoes of Prey. Start-up life made for a big change from the global professional services firms Anna previously worked for, but ask her and she will tell you there’s no looking back! As new Mum to Harry, Anna is helping with the ON-iverse with projects, casually two days a week.

Jack Doyle

Jack Doyle is our latest international hero, joining the ON team in all things admin and operations. New to Australia from his native Ireland, Jack is enjoying his Sydney experience with lots of exploring. He is a 'jack of all trades' with both law degree and Masters in Business Management from the University of Limerick. Jack is happy to help with anything to keep the office running smoothly, but maybe just don't ask him to iron..!

Sarah Frazer is our resident comms whiz. As Communications Manager, Sarah is responsible for ON's communication tactics and manages everything from events like Demo Day to the social media handles to government relations. Sarah has a passion for everything sci-comms, with a double degree of Chemistry and Digital Media to prove it. Before joining ON in December 2018, she worked in the Brand and Marketing department of CSIRO, hosted science shows for the Wollongong Science Centre and made her own educational science videos. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys drawing mandalas, live music and exploring new places.

Mark Luo, New Ventures manager of the ON Program

Joining in 2018 as the New Venture Manager, Sydney based, Mark Luo joined specifically to help Australia's next generation deep tech founders' accelerate "ON"wards to become global category leaders. Mark spent eight years prior at the intersection of investing and technology across APAC, working in Global Venture Capital & Private Equity investing at QIC and Credit Suisse. Every single day, Mark feels privileged to work with Aussie inventors & researchers building world class technologies that can truly change planet Earth. In Mark's spare time, his curiosity and love for animals brings him to different urban and wildlife landscapes. Mark also dedicates time proactively in angel investment community.
